Plot Summary/Synopsis
The seemingly endless life and death struggle between two wealthy farming families is the backdrop to this wild tale of passion, hatred and violence as each family seeks revenge against the other. The two families have been at war with each other for as long as anyone can remember and there seems little hope of peace ever being declared.
Love slowly creeps into this wild scenario and it is a love that crosses the family boundaries. Of course there is resistance to this love and to another love affair that crosses the social boundaries too. There are sub-plots within the main story as some members of both families see little future in continuing the feud. Others however are still consumed with a hunger for revenge and want the war to continue.
Ultimately though love will triumph although there are times when dark forces seem set to overcome it and defeat it completely. This telenovela began in January 1994 and ran for 168 episodes.
