Plot Summary/Synopsis

Two worlds collide in a storm of intense passion where principles, beliefs and personal feelings are stirred in a bubbling cauldron. Barbara Santana is a beautiful woman with a dark secret that haunts her nights. Jesus Alberto is a young and ambitious mechanic who loves his wife and would never be unfaithful to her.

Yet when Barbara comes into his life he is unable to resist the temptation to enter into an affair with her. This affair occurs despite the fact that the two people are almost exact opposites of one another and they seem to share little in common.

The storyline also exposes the social and economic traditions that exist in a South American country for these impact on the passionate couple. Subconciously they challenge one another to look at the world from a totally different perspective and that challenge is there for us too.

This telenovela only ran for one season but lasted for 254 episodes.
