Plot Summary/Synopsis

O Clone is the story of star-crossed lovers Lucas and Jade. While Lucas is the son of a powerful Brazilian businessman, Jade is the daughter of very conventional Moroccan parents. Although they are from two different worlds, the lovers believe that they are meant to be together. The obstacles that Lucas and Jade must over come in order to achieve true love highlight the differences between their cultures. Aside from its passionate romance and critique of cultural issues, O Clone also addresses the biotechnology and ethical implications of cloning. The plot also revolves around Leandro, a clone of Lucas. Although they have the same genes, Leandro and Lucas have disparate personalities. They do, however, often share the same interests and Leandro falls in love with Jade.
