Plot Summary/Synopsis
Young love can sometimes take some terrible twists and turns before it finds fulfillment and the twists and turns in this telenovela are perfect examples of that.
Javier is a medical student at a major hospital. He falls in love with Marta who happens to be the hospital director’s daughter. His eagerness to impress Marta makes him clumsy and a terrible accident happens that leaves Marta blind.
If that’s not enough at the same time as Marta is blinded her father also dies. The tragedy and the accident are too much for her and she becomes bitter and blames Javier for all that has befallen her. This makes him feel guilty and he leaves the country and travels overseas to try and escape the guilt that oppresses him in his own country.
Javier finally returns to his native country and while he was away he has become an eye surgeon. He successfully operates on Marta and until she opens her eyes she has no idea who it was that performed the surgery.
