Plot Summary/Synopsis

Machos revolves around the lives of the Mercader family. Ángel Mercader, a prominent doctor from Viña del Mar, has devoted his life to teaching his seven sons to be strong and independent. Along with his wife, Valentina, Ángel watches his sons become men. The seven brothers—Amaro, Adam, Antonio, Alonso, Ariel, Armando, and Alex—exhibit vast differences, but they share a bond that cannot be broken. Over the years, the Mercaders find themselves entangled in a slew of family scandals. Ángel has been having a secret love affair with the beautiful Sonia, who is in a relationship with Alonso. Alex cannot find acceptance from his father, as Ángel refuses to accept his son’s homosexuality. The story of the Mercado men is one of love, lies, and honor, but most importantly it is a story of family.
