Plot Summary/Synopsis

This is a powerful story of a young and talented woman who refuses to be shackled to the kitchen and forced to lead the life of an ordinary housewife. It’s a story that is repeated over and over again in real life as insecure husbands demand that their wives be little more than their slaves.

Luisana is caught in a difficult marriage. Her husband is successful and ambitious but he is also insecure and burdened with a sexist view of life. His insecurities and sexist views nearly destroy him and his family and Luisana suffers much.

The struggle that they go through just to survive leaves many deep scars in both of them and for a time the family seems doomed to self-destruction. However, Luisana is persistent and she still loves him deeply. She is prepared to help him overcome his prejudices and come to understand reality.
