Plot Summary/Synopsis

Illusions is the story of two people who are attracted despite the fact that they come from completely different social and economic backgrounds. Marisol is the daughter of a politician and a well-known architect. Octavio is a complete nobody, a poor laborer who has nothing and no social standing.

They meet when a scheming businesswoman seeks to have Marisol abducted so that her father will abstain from voting on an important environmental issue. Octavio thwarts the abduction attempt and hides Marisol from those who wish her harm.

It’s while she is hiding that the attraction between the two begins but their path to true love and happiness is littered with problems. The problems come not only from those who are against Marisol’s father but from her best friends and family as well.

Deceit and family honor add even more problems and for a while it seems that evil will triumph but ultimately it is love that conquers all.
