Plot Summary/Synopsis
Created by Fernando Gaitan, Café con Aroma de Mujer was extremely popular for its storyline, as well as its scenery. The telenovela was shot in multiple picturesque locations around the Columbian countryside and the Rosario islands. The plot revolves around the life of a beautiful young woman who works on a coffee plantation. Gaviota is a hardworking, independent woman who dreams of one day having a better life. When she meets Sebastian, the heir to the coffee company, Gaviota embarks on a journey that will change her life. Although Gaviota and Sebastian are from two different worlds, they share a zest for life and the two soon fall in love. Their lives become riddled with love and passion, as well as ambition and jealousy, and they must fight to stay together. Café con Aroma de Mujer is praised for addressing issues of class and accurately portraying the culture of the Columbian coffee industry.
